Bhreagh Rowe – about me:
I feel so blessed and so honored to have the chance to experience another country and partner in ministry with the Germany, Lithuania and Poland Territory.
Ministry and music had been part of my life since a young age. My mother was a music teacher so growing up I played piano, violin and several other instruments and was always involved in music in my church. As a teen I was a part of several Mission Trips to inner cities in North America and I quickly fell in love with missions. After High School I went to University and received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the intent of taking my nursing skills overseas however God obviously had a very different plan. I worked for a couple of years in Labour and Delivery and Emergency Departments but was introduced to The Salvation Army in Yarmouth NS and instantly fell in love with the people and the mission. Upon arriving at The Salvation Army I was immersed into the culture of the Army and slowly started feeling the tug on my heart that just maybe Officership was my calling.
As far as skills and abilities the main bulk of my experience has been with children and youth – and this is my true passion, what my heart beats for. I worked at a variety of summer camps in a variety of positions including; program director, activities director, camp nurse, counsellor ect. I have also been involved in leading several different types of youth and children’s groups. I love children and youth and whole heartedly believe in their abilities, in their passions and in the way they influence adults. I believe that many of the “life situations” that I have been placed in are for a very specific reason; they have helped me connect with youth and children and have helped me be able to live incarnational.
I am so excited for this opportunity that has been placed before me and am looking forward to see the ways that God will use my husband and I to grow His kingdom and show His love to everyone we come in contact with.
Daniel Rowe – about me
Friends,
First, let me say what a great honour it is for both Bhreagh and I to join you in your on-going ministry of winning souls for Christ. We feel very blessed to have this opportunity to partner with you.
I grew up in a Salvation Army family with Officer Parents, mostly in Ontario, therefore the Army and all it has to offer has been a big part of my whole life. I also grew up working at camps and have a great passion for children and youth realizing that they are the future of The Salvation Army and Christianity as a whole. Upon graduating from High School I decided to go to University to become a History teacher however God had another plan and had a very blunt way of showing me this. At the age of 18 I was diagnosed with Sciatica which progressed so rapidly that I had to drop out of school to try and heal. While wrestling with God I realized that He was calling me to Officership and needed me to change my direction drastically. So I enrolled in College and received my studies in Business Administration and Human Resources and soon after ended up at the College for Officer Training in Winnipeg, MB with my new wife out of Haven of Hope in Regina SK.
Music is another passion of mine. Worship teams, bands, singing groups; they can create great relationships among people and can help people get involved within their church in an easy way! I have been leading worship for about 3 years now and have felt that I have grown spiritually and maturely through this leading of worship. I play the guitar, brass instruments except the trombone, and I would also consider myself "creative" in art, games, music, etc.
We want to see the "International" Army and what a better place to go then a Canadian Partner Territory. My wife has always had a passion for international service that quickly spilled over to become a passion for me as well. To be honest, we had no idea we were going to Germany until it was announced April 26th, 2013. However, we quickly accepted that God is in control and that Germany is part of God's plan for us!
